The Virginia Beach Police Department Economic Crime Unit will investigate a report of embezzlement if the following information is obtained as evidence.
The owner or his designee of the victim business will respond to the Detective Bureau with all documents, videos, and witness information providing proof that the employee has embezzled money from the business. The victim will provide all personal information in identifying the suspect in the case. After all documents have been provided which may require a forensics analysis of the finical dealings of the business. The detective will review the case to see if criminal charges can be placed against the suspect.
