Meet Your Coaches:
Brenda Houck
Brenda attended Fordham University where she received a degree in Art History. She grew up in Walton, NY and swam competitively in the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference while in college. She is returning for her fifth season with the Seatack Sharks. In her free time, Brenda enjoys reading and painting. Brenda says, “Work hard and have fun.”
Rebecca Serio
Rebecca received a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing from Old Dominion University in 2004. She grew up in Southern California, but shortly after high school moved to Virginia Beach. Rebecca swam competitively during high school and coached for Parks and Recreation for Bayside and Great Neck swim teams. This is her second season as the representative for the Seatack Sharks. She enjoys swimming, running and shopping. Her advice to swimmers is, “Enjoy your time on the team and don’t stress the small stuff”.
Nathan MiznerNathan is currently attending Tidewater Community College where he is pursuing a degree in Social Sciences. He swam for 13 years on summer league, high school and year round teams. He has coached for four years on summer league, high school and Virginia Beach recreation leagues. Nathan coached last season with the Bow Creek Barracudas and is happy to be joining the Seatack Sharks this year. Apart from swimming, Nathan enjoys listening to music, kayaking and traveling. He says, “Listen to your coaches, never give up, cheer for your teammates and have fun.”
Danielle WeierDanielle is currently attending Tidewater Community College. She swam competitively since she was ten years old and started with the Virginia Beach Recreation League. She is returning for her third season with the Seatack Sharks. Danielle enjoys swimming and surfing. Her advice to swimmers is, “Swim hard and swim fast!”
