Meet Your Coaches:
Camille BerryCamille has been a lifeguard and swim instructor for the City of Virginia Beach for five years. This is her second season coaching for the Stingrays as well as having coached for the Timberlake Timberwolves this past summer. Camille has taken classes in the field of Administration of Justice from TCC. Besides having a passion for swimming, she also enjoys competing in triathlon sprints. Her favorite strokes are butterfly and backstroke and she is eager to start the swim season.
Scott CorilloScott is a graduate of First Colonial High School and Old Dominion University with a BS in Political Science with a minor in International Relations. He is currently pursuing an MPA at Troy University. Scott learned to swim through the City’s Learn to Swim lessons. He swam competitively three years in high school and was Co-Captain his senior year. This is his sixth year teaching and his second year with the Stingrays. Scott loves soccer and water sports such as surfing and water polo.
Jessica Chugg
Jessica is a full-time biology student at Old Dominion University. This is her third season as a coach with the city and her first year as a Kempsville Stingrays coach. Jessica actually swam for the Stingrays when she was 10 and 11 years old. She has been swimming competitively since she was 4. Her favorite strokes to swim are butterfly and individual medley. She is very excited to meet all the swimmers and have a great season this year at Kempsville. Go Stingrays!
Tim Roenker
Tim has been teaching swimming for over 15 years and has been coaching the last four winters for the Kempsville Stingrays. He also coached the past two summers and is currently the Head Swim Coach of the Timberlake Timberwolves of the Virginia Beach Swim League. He is a senior at Saint Leo University and will be graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in May. He'll be working on his Master’s Degree in Sports Business next September.
