Drop in on the action during our annual amateur skateboard competition at the 24,000 square foot Mount Trashmore Skate Park. Kickflips, boardslides and indy grabs! Compete in the street course, bowl or the thrilling 14-foot high vert ramp competitions. This contest runs alongside fun activities and rockin’ live music. Registration begins July 16. *Fee required to compete.

Now in its 34th year, Santa’s Stocking Old Fashioned Craft Bazaar features two weekends of over 100 different craft vendors. Crafters will be selling unique handmade items, everything from stocking stuffers to fine works of art, all at budget-friendly prices. Take your stargazing to Mount Trashmore Park and observe night sky wonders through a variety of telescopes, or bring your own! Learn to identify constellations in the sky as they are pointed out by Back Bay Amateur Astronomers and the Virginia Beach City Public Schools Planetarium. Experience ViewSpace​, an internet-fed, self-updating permanent exhibit from the Space Teles​cope Science Institute. NASA will be onsite with children's activities. April sights include the waxing gibbous moon, Jupiter's moons, Venus, Mars and star clusters.
