Nestled in the heart of Kempsville, Woodstock Park is a diverse, but comprehensive 30-acre park that is ideal for family outings, complete with playgrounds, a one-acre fenced dog park, and an action-packed concrete urban skate plaza.

The following items can be checked out of the park office with a driver license or other form of identification: badminton equipment, baseball bats, corn hole boards and bags, footballs, frisbees, horseshoes, rubber playground balls, soccer balls, volleyballs and volleyball nets.
Skate Plaza at Woodstock Park:
The skate plaza opened in April 2007 and has 10,400 square feet of concrete skateable area and 3,200 square feet of interior green space. Boasting several challenging components, the plaza contains a five-foot tall quarter pipe, vert wall, rails, hubba ledges, radial ledges, stairs and handrails to provide endless skating action. Bleachers are available for spectators.
Free and open to the public, the skate plaza opens at 8am and closes ½ hour prior to posted closing time. All skate participants must sign-up for a FREE skate park pass
. Industry Standard helmets are required and use of other protective pads are strongly recommended. Patrons are expected to follow posted rules and staff instructions.
