265 parks to choose from, totaling over 4,000 acres of land!
Virginia Beach consistently ranks among the most “physically fit” cities in the nation within various publications. Much of this has to do with our devotion to providing as many fitness opportunities as possible. We have over 100 miles of city
bikeways and trails, each trail different from the next.
Our city’s unique landscape allows for a variety of
natural areas for you to fish, hike, boat and enjoy nature.
For all of the dog lovers out there, we operate two
dog parks, with plenty of open space, and comfortable amenities for dog and human alike!
Virginia Beach is home to plenty of skaters, and we have three exceptional
skate parks for skateboarding, BMX, and inline skating.
