Design Standards Manual. The purpose of this manual is to ensure the consistent planning and implementation of amenities and features in the City’s parklands. The Design Standards were established to create a pattern of common elements and identifiable quality of improvements and implementation practices throughout City parkland. The standards are meant to be consistent, safe, cost-effective, and sustainable elements that are easily maintained and managed system-wide. They were developed and updated by representatives of all Parks and Recreation divisions that are responsible for implementing, maintaining or managing them.
