Don't miss the Civil War 150 HistoryMobile!

This interactive “museum on wheels” will be
open to the public at Central Library on Thursday, February 28 & Friday, March 1, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The 53-foot tractor trailer includes exhibits that share Virginia’s Civil War stories from the perspectives of those who experienced it—young and old, enslaved and free, soldiers and civilians.
A Civil War encampment will be constructed outside the library, too. There will be stories and crafts for children inside the library, and volunteers dressed in period clothing on the Saturday of the event.
