Where can I find Consumer Reports?
Ever wonder if the library has that magazine or newspaper that you saw at the newsstand or on your co-workers desk? Most likely, the answer is yes!
We have thousands of magazines and newspapers just for you. Almost all of them are available online, in full-text, for free at your library. To read them from home or on the go, you’ll need an Internet connection and your Virginia Beach Public Library card and PIN.
With so many online research tools available at your library, how do you find them?
Start here...
Start at "Research" on the Library’s website. Select
Research Topics for a broad subject listing. You’ll be able to narrow your search to a few resources in your subject area.
If you're searching for a particular online resource, begin with the
A to Z List of Resources. You’ll be linked directly to the online research tool.
If you know the exact publication title and it’s a common one, check out the
Popular Magazine & Newspaper web page. You'll find a variety of titles that are featured within other resources. Just follow the on-screen instructions to get to your title.
While none of the online research tools are exactly the same, they all offer a publication or a publication title search. It may be located under Advanced Search instead of included within the initial search.
