Find a cozy spot, snuggle up and read with your child! Virginia Beach Public Library’s
winter reading program encourages parents and caregivers to read aloud with young children, age 0 to 5. Reading together helps even the youngest children build literacy skills – plus it makes for fun family bonding time!
The program begins Feb. 1. Visit any Virginia Beach Public Library to enroll and pick up your stickers and sticker sheet. For older children, you may want to post the reading log on the refrigerator or similar place where they can easily see and reach it so you can celebrate your progress together.
By March 1, bring your completed log to the library where you enrolled in the program. Your child’s first name will be posted on the library’s “Snuggle With A Book” display to celebrate completion of the program.
