Renewals
While titles can not be renewed, you can check them out again, if available, or place them on hold to check out another time.
HoldsYou can have up to three titles on hold at any given time. When a hold is available, you will receive an email notice.
DevicesDigital books can be enjoyed on your computer and a wide range of devices. Overdrive maintains a current listing of compatible devices at it's
Device Resource Center.
Classes
If you’re puzzled by your iPad or intimidated by your e-reader, library staff can help. We offer a variety of classes and tutoring sessions at most library locations to help you learn to use your new gadget to access the library’s collection.
To find upcoming events, search “classes” in the library’s online calendar,
www.VBgov.com/library-events, or call your local library.
Help WikiA
new wiki has been developed to provide customers and staff with helpful resources on using e-books and e-readers. There are a variety of users’ guides for the most popular devices and tablets, in addition to PDFs with screenshots illustrating the checkout/download/transfer process for e-readers, Kindle, and mobile app. Links to the three tip sheets are also there, as is a page with common troubleshooting issues and answers.
