The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), also called Earned Income Credit (EIC), is a refundable credit that can offer low to moderate income families a boost at tax time. If you file a federal income tax return and you earned less than $50, 270 from wages, self-employment or farming last year, you may qualify for the earned income tax credit. Child Tax Credit
Families eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credits are often eligible for Child Tax Credits
(CTC) worth up to $1,000 per child under the age of 17.
