Pendleton Child Service Center
Page Content
Growing up in today's society can be challenging. Some children and parents find the challenges overwhelming and as a result, they struggle with behavioral, emotional and social issues. Pendleton Child Service Center (PCSC), a division of the Virginia Beach Department of Human Services, is a short-term, multi-disciplinary, family-oriented community service program designed to assist children between the ages of 5 and 12 and their families. PCSC uses a cognitive-behavioral approach to behavior modification, which provides support for families and direction for children when they feel lost and overwhelmed.
At PCSC, children who demonstrate behaviors like aggression, lying, stealing, temper tantrums, lack of social skills and poor academic achievement are given the resources to make positive changes in their behaviors and sustain success. Parents wishing to begin services with PCSC may complete the PCSC Referral Packet and return it to our office. The completed forms may be mailed, faxed or brought directly to our location.
