The Pendleton Child Services Center (PCSC) has a long history in Virginia Beach. In 1971, State and City leaders identified a need to provide assistance to families experiencing difficulties with behaviorally challenged children and adolescents. The program opened in 1973 and was named the Pendleton Child Services Center. The City of Virginia Beach assumed responsibility for the program in 1995 and the program moved to the North Landing Rd location. Since inception, the program has helped hundreds of children and families and has provided a myriad of clinical opportunities to new and experienced therapists
We express our sincerest appreciation to the Social Services and Community Services Boards, the Virginia Beach and Chesapeake Public Schools, and the Pendleton teams for their coordinated effort to assure a smooth transition to community based services for the children and families served at the Pendleton Center. We especially appreciate the patience and involvement of the families who received service. It is an honor to serve you.
