The City of Virginia Beach Human Resources Department administers various programs, through traditional and non-traditional means, to enhance the work environment of our most valued resource, our employees. These programs include employee selection, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, member communications, and occupational health and safety management. Programs and services are provided to a workforce of full-time and part-time employees, who are primarily responsible for providing government services to our citizens.
Department offices, including the Application Office, are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and located at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center, Building 18, 2424 Courthouse Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia.
