The Home Rehabilitation Program offers assistance for the correction of interior and
exterior code violations, energy improvements (i.e. new roof, windows and heating/cooling system), vinyl siding and handicapped accessibility improvements.

The program provides a 20-year 1% interest deferred loan (1% Annual Percentage Rate (APR)) for home repairs in order to improve the physical quality of the neighborhood and the long-term value and affordability of the dwelling for the homeowner. The program provides assistance for the rehabilitation of the property; it does not allow for remodeling. Assistance is provided one time only.
Funds are available to Virginia Beach residents whose household's total gross annual income does not exceed eighty percent (80%) of the area median income, adjusted for family size, as established by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD).
