Integral to the success and vitality of any city are the homes and neighborhoods in which its citizens live. Vibrant neighborhoods with well-maintained homes are connected to good jobs, good schools, and lead to a high quality of life.
While Virginia Beach is relatively young, some homes and neighborhoods are nearing or at the peak of their lives. The Virginia Beach City Council has decided that now is the time for action. They have added the revitalization of neighborhoods as a key goal and endorsed a plan to preserve, renew, and enhance the homes and neighborhoods in our city.
To ensure that Virginia Beach continues to be a
Community for a Lifetime, we must have homes and neighborhoods of choice available to people at all life stages, with all lifestyles. We want Virginia Beach homes and neighborhoods to be
places of choice, premier places to live.
In order to do this, we must all work together in
Preserving,
Renewing, and
Enhancing the existing homes and neighborhoods in Virginia Beach -- the goal of the PREmier Homes and Neighborhoods program.
