2) ATTEND INFORMATION MEETING and PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT:
must attend one VST Information Meeting and one VST Physical Assessment:

Monday, Nov. 17 (info meeting); Saturday, Nov 22 (phys assess)

Driver's license (original)

2014. Records from third party sources are not acceptable. Applicant must
provide a driving record for each state in which you were issued a driver’s

3) BACKGROUND CHECKS:
Candidates who successfully complete the
Physical Ability Assessment will move forward to the background investigation
phase. Fire Human Resources will review applications, DMV driving records,
references and state and federal background check results. Candidates
will also undergo a polygraph exam.
4) FINAL STEPS:
Candidates with satisfactory background
results will move to the final steps: a Safety Sensitivity Physical (at the
City's expense), FBI fingerprinting and Child Protective Services registry check.
Those deemed medically fit for duty who clear these final steps
will be able to attend the Volunteer Support Technician training
program in March 2015.
