Operations A Shift District Chief David L. Wade joined the Virginia Beach Fire Department on September 1, 1981. He is currently assigned as the Shift Commander of Fire Operations on A shift. Chief Wade is the Strategic Oversight for the Marine Rescue Program and Apparatus & Vehicle Program.
Chief Wade holds an A.A. in Fire Science from Tidewater Community College and a B.A. in Human Resources from the University of Richmond.

Chief Dennis Keane j
oined the Virginia Beach Fire Department on July 1, 1978. He is currently assigned as the Shift Commander of Fire Operations on B shift. and is the Program Manager for ERS and has ancillary responsiblility with Marine Response Program. He is a National Registered Paramedic and is a Task Force Leader for FEMA Urban Search and Rescue VA TF-2. Chief Keane holds a B.A. from Richmond University.
District Chief David Hutcheson joined the Virginia Beach Fire Department in August of 1988. He is currently assigned to Fire Operations as the C Shift District Chief. Chief Hutcheson is the Operational Program Manager of the Hazardous Materials Program. He is also responsible for coordinating the Virginia Beach Fire Department Service Awards Ceremony and is the coordinator for the VBFD Honor Guard. Chief Hutcheson is a Plans Manager for FEMA Urban Search and Rescue VA-TF2.
Chief Hutcheson holds a B.A. in Fire Administration from Hampton University.
