TRAINING DIVISION ORGANIZATION: The Training Division of Emergency Medical Services is organized into three major programs which implement training policies by planning, developing, organizing, and conducting various technical and non-technical programs of study for rescue members, public safety officers (firefighters, police officers, communications officers, etc.), hospital personnel, and the general public.
MAJOR PROGRAMS AND OBJECTIVES:
I. Basic Education
Objective:
To provide for the initial, basic and continuing education in emergency medical care for system personnel to meet the Department requirements for providing first responder and basic life support patient care services.
II. Advanced Education
Objective:
To provide for the advanced and continuing education in emergency medical care for system personnel to meet the Department requirements for providing both basic and advanced life support patient care services.

Cardiac Education
Paramedic Education
Clinical Education
III. Specialty Education
Objective:
To provide certain specialized education for system and support personnel to enhance their dispatching, medical control, special rescue and general managerial skills.
