Captain Debra Brennaman has served with the Department of Emergency Medical Services since 1987. Debbie conducts many EMT classes as well as, coordinates the ALS Proctor program for the Department. Instructor Brennaman is a National Registry Paramedic and a life member at Plaza Volunteer Rescue squad. In addition to being an EMT Instructor and RN, Debbie is an ACLS Instructor, PALS Instructor, BTLS Instructor, and CPR Instructor Trainer. Lt. Lani Deforest has been an Instruction Supervisor with the Training Division since 2000. She coordinates EMT and EVOC training, assists with First Responder, CPR and ACLS training. She also sits on the state's ALS Grants Funding Committee. Lani is a member of the Courthouse Rescue Squad, Inc. She holds instructor credentials for EMT, CPR, ACLS, and VAVRS EVOC. Administrative Assistant Mary Anne Blett-Myers provides administrative support for the Division Chief and the Instructor Supervisors for the EMS Training Center. Mary Anne maintains all rescue volunteer's training records for the department and their Virginia state CEU information. She can also assist you if you need to pickup your new EMS ID badge.
