The Operations Division is commanded by two Division Chiefs under the general supervision of the
Deputy EMS Chief William S. Kiley. This Division contains the major components of the department which include the Volunteer Rescue Squads, Special Operations and supplemental first responder services provided by the Fire and Police Departments.
Division Chief Daniel Kiley oversees the day-to-day operations of the volunteer rescue services bureau of the Division. This includes the direct supervision of
4 Brigade Chiefs in addition Chief Kiley supervises the rapid response to and proper provision of specialized rescue services to supplement basic and advanced services in the delivery of emergency medical care and rescue to the general public to reduce patient suffering, morbidity and mortality.
Division Chief Thomas Green oversees the day-to-day operations of the career medic services bureau of the Division. This includes the direct supervision of
4 Brigade Chiefs, which provides daily street supervision as well as, the rapid response to and proper provision of patient care services to the general public. This service is provided by utilizing career medics in the provision of Advanced Life Support care and augments volunteer personnel in staffing ambulances if staffing falls below recommended levels.
Emergency Medical Response:
To provide for the rapid response to and proper provision of basic and advanced patient care services to the general public to reduce patient morbidity and mortality.

To provide for the rapid response to and proper provision of specialized rescue services to supplement basic and advanced services in the delivery of emergency medical care and rescue to the general public to reduce patient suffering, morbidity and mortality.
Anti-Terrorism and Disaster Preparedness:To provide for a special response in extra ordinary emergency medical and rescue situations in which greater coordination and resources are needed to assist basic and advanced providers in the delivery of emergency medical and rescue services.
