The Great Neck Rescue Station is privately owned by Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad  on Bayne Drive adjacent to the Oceana Fire Station.     Coverage area extending from Cox High School, south to Oceana Naval Air Station, west to the Plaza area of the City. Base Space also includes space to house an EMS supervisor paramedic, zone car and   police watch room
 
The Great Neck Station houses:
  • 3 Advance Life Support Ambulance
  • 1 Rapid Response Zone Car
  • 1 EMS Street Supervisor

This facility is a sub-station of the Ocean Park Volunteer Rescue Squad. An ambulance is at certain times is stationed and staffed by volunteers from Ocean Park Volunteer Rescue Squad and other members of the Department of Emergency Medical Services.
 
The area serviced by this station has a Northern boundary of Shore Drive; a Southern boundary of N. Great Neck Road and Shorehaven Drive; a Western boundary of Shore Drive and Shady Oaks Drive; and an Eastern boundary of 75th Street and Atlantic Avenue.
