Our lifeguards are selected from the finest lifeguards from across the region. Once accepted to our training program, the lifeguard candidate undergoes a rigorous orientation and training as design by the United States Lifeguard Association. All Lifeguards must be certified with current CPR certification meeting the AHA standard of Healthcare Provider; current first aid certification meeting the ARC standard of Basic First Aid; and current USLA or ARC Lifeguard certification or equivalent. Must successful pass pre-employment endurance and USLA skills testing.
Additional extensive training is provided on such subjects as information on the aquatic environment, a thorough explanation of the drowning process, how to perform a rescue in the open water environment, use of basic and advanced rescue equipment, medical care of injuries specific to the aquatic environment, search and and rescue procedures
