When application is complete, call the police academy at (757) 385-6987 with your confirmation number to schedule a testing date.
Employment of Minors &/or Seasonal Positions:
Occasionally jobs are available for those under 18, if they meet all other requirements for a position, including education. These positions will be
posted with all other career opportunities. The city does not employ 13- to 15-year-olds, but instead encourages them to look into
volunteer work.

The Virginia Beach Fire Department handles applications for both volunteer and career positions. Please check back regularly
