(VB911) receives and processes citizens’ calls
for service by Police, Fire, and EMS personnel.
Calling "911" is specifically used for emergencies
(police, fire, EMS) where an immediate response is required from emergency personnel.
Public safety assistance that is not an emergency or that originates from outside the calling area can be requested by dialing (757) 385-5000.
