(Formerly Technical Assistance Grant)
The Commission has created a small grants program to assist organizations by supporting the use of professional expertise to help organizations resolve particular problems and gain needed management skills that results in the organization's ability to provide improved service to the citizens of Virginia Beach.
Activities may include hiring qualified, short-term consultants or sending staff or board members to conference, workshops, or seminars to increase job effectiveness.
Available funds are allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis to qualified applicants following the commencement of the Commission's fiscal year, July 1st of every year.
Organizations are responsible for submitting applications eight business days prior to the Executive Committee meeting at which the organizations would like the application reviewed.
A meeting schedule is available from the Cultural Arts office and is posted on our website under the Meeting Schedule subpage of the Arts Commission. This schedule is subject to change, and applicants should confirm with Hazel Turner prior to submitting the application.
