The mission of the Visitor Services Division is to provide information and assistance to visitors and potential visitors to the City of Virginia Beach in order to make their travel preparations and stay in the City a positive experience and to support the overall consumer and trade marketing efforts.
The Visitor Services Division is committed to providing a high level of service to our residents and guests. In order to achieve this, the City of Virginia Beach, Convention and Visitors Bureau operates two year round visitor information centers and two seasonal information kiosks.
The main Visitor Information Center - located at 2100 Parks Avenue, is open daily with extended hours in the summer.
The Chesapeake Bay Center - located in First Landing State Park, is also open daily.
Kiosks - two information kiosks operate in the resort area from May through September. These are located on the Boardwalk at 17th Street and on Atlantic Avenue at 24th Street.
At these locations information is provided on lodging, restaurants, attractions, events and recreational opportunities. Visitor Information Assistants respond to inquiries in person, on the telephone, and via e-mail. In addition to Virginia Beach information, literature is available about areas throughout Virginia at the main Visitor Information Center. This office also processes and fulfills the inquiries that are generated as a result of the City’s tourism advertising and marketing efforts.
