By using the eCheck payment service, I authorize the City of Virginia Beach's Treasurer Office to withdraw funds from the Financial Institution account that I have provided to pay the City of Virginia Beach for charges billed to my Public Utilities and Public Works (PU&PW) combined account. Furthermore, I affirm and attest to the fact that I am authorized to make withdrawals from this Financial Institution account. I understand and agree that the City of Virginia Beach is not liable for any mistake or failure of the Financial Institution to pay over any funds to the City of Virginia Beach. I also realize that any failure by the Financial Institution to pay my PU&PW bill through this eCheck payment service does not relieve me from the responsibility for payment of my bill. I also agree that a returned check fee of $35.00 will apply if the Financial Institution fails to honor or later voids an eCheck payment transaction and that I will be on a cash only basis for one (1) year.
