The City Treasurer Will Accept Online Payments For: 

​Public Utility/Storm Water Bills

Currently, you have two options to pay your public utility/storm water bill online. Note that using either of these options within three (3) business days of your due date could result in an interruption of service. Therefore, we advise that you pay in person at one of the four convenient City Treasurer locations. Please have​​ your bill and a check or credit card to proceed. * Note, to pay this bill via electronic check, users must agree to disclaimer before proceeding.

​Personal Property Taxes​

The City provides two different options for paying your personal property taxes online. One option allows you to enroll for current and future personal property tax payments using your checking account, last name and the last 5 digits of your Social Security/FIN number. The second option allows a one time payment using a major credit card and the bill number.

​Real Estate Taxes

Citizens also have two ways to pay Real Estate Taxes online. One option allows you to enroll for current and future Real Estate Tax payments using your checking account, GPIN number, and your 5 digit zip code. The second option allows a one time payment using a major credit card and the bill number.

​Parking Tickets

There are two ways to pay parking tickets online. One option allows you to use your checking account and all you need is your checking account and the ticket. You may also pay using a major credit card and information from the ticket.  An additional fee is applicable.

Please note our Return Check Policy consists of a $35.00 fee for each returned item and includes any ACH online check payments as authorized by Code of Virginia 15.2-106. In addition, the owner of the account and possibly the writer of the check will be placed on a cash only basis for one year.  

 Additional Accepted Methods of Payment: 

​Pay in Person

Pay in person at any of our four convenient locations with cash, check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. A 2.5% service fee will be applied to all credit card transactions. Each of these locations also feature a drop box for check or money order payments only, no cash.

Pay by check or money order through U.S. Postal Service or other delivery carrier of your choice to:

Paying via phone with the city's payment call center is available pending staff availability.  Center hours: Mon. - Fri., 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  At times of low Treasurer staffing, this operation may not be available.
