The mission of the Real Estate Assessor's Office is
to annually inventory and appraise all taxable and tax exempt real estate in the City, fairly and equitably, in accordance with Virginia State Law and Virginia Beach City Code, and provide information and assistance to the City Council, City Staff,
State Department of Taxation and the public, regarding the land book and individual assessments.
