FY 2016-17 Budget Information
Welcome to the city budget website. Shown below are four new interactive ways to access budget data that used to only be available in a static document.
Interactive Budget Applications
- Open Budget - An online application enabling citizens to review, compare, download, visualize and analyze budget data at the line item level. Capital Improvement information and project mapping is also available.
- Open Performance - An ongoing initiative to provide citizens access to major community and department indicators which are aligned to City Council's 2040 Vision. This application is a work in progress and will be updated and enhanced throughout the coming years (we welcome your input).
- Balancing Act - Allows citizens the ability to modify how funds are allocated and what revenues support the operations of the city government (General Fund only). Citizens may then submit their suggested budget to the city but only if the budget is balanced, revenues to expenditures. Access a demo video of Balancing Act.
- Taxpayer Receipt - By answering a few anonymous questions, citizens can generate an unofficial receipt showing where your tax dollars go. The system uses national data for spending based on age. This application requests basic input on home values and vehicles owned to generate the receipt.
