Comparative Indicators Each January, Management Services provides City Council a comparative presentation on how Virginia Beach compares in service delivery with other regional municipalities. We monitor our expenditures by category and our tax rates and fees. We also look at the City's economic vitality, quality education, how safe our community is, opportunities for our citizens and youth, and the City's cultural and recreational activities. |
Every other year, the City of Virginia Beach commissions a citizen satisfaction survey. The telephone survey is conducted by a local professional firm that specializes in conducting surveys. The purpose of the survey is to monitor citizen attitudes toward various programs and services that are provided by the City. |
Community Indicators are measures that assess overall conditions of Virginia Beach. These indicators are influenced by not only the City of Virginia Beach, but also the State and Federal government, non-profit organizations, and private service providers. |
