The City of Virginia Beach invites all residents, business owners, community leaders and other stakeholders who have an interest in how the city plans, manages, protects and promotes its current and future sustainability initiatives to participate in one of three public input meetings. The meetings are scheduled for:
- Tuesday, Nov. 13, 7 to 9 p.m., at Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library, 4100 Virginia Beach Blvd.
- Wednesday, Nov. 14, 7 to 9 p.m., at Creeds Elementary School, 920 Princess Anne Road
- Thursday, Nov. 15, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Municipal Center, Building 19, 2416 Courthouse Drive.
City staff will review the draft Community Sustainability Plan and solicit feedback and comments from the public for consideration in drafting the final version of the plan. The draft plan is available for the public to review prior to these meetings.
The public input meetings are one of the final steps in a yearlong public outreach process to seek ideas and direction from citizens to help guide the city in the development of its first comprehensive Community Sustainability Plan.
