The City of
Virginia Beach invites all residents, business owners, community leaders and
other stakeholders who have an interest in how the city plans, manages, protects
and promotes its current and future sustainability initiatives to participate in
one of three public input meetings. The meetings are scheduled
for:

Tuesday, Nov. 13, 7 to 9 p.m., at
Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library, 4100 Virginia Beach Blvd.
- Wednesday, Nov. 14, 7 to 9 p.m.,
at Creeds Elementary School, 920 Princess Anne Road
- Thursday, Nov. 15, 7 to 9 p.m.,
at the Municipal Center, Building 19, 2416 Courthouse Drive.
City staff will
review the draft Community Sustainability Plan and solicit feedback and comments
from the public for consideration in drafting the final version of the
plan. The draft plan is available for the public to review prior
to these meetings.
The public input meetings are one of the final steps in a yearlong public
outreach process to seek ideas and direction from citizens to help guide the
city in the development of its first comprehensive Community Sustainability Plan.
