Do you want to make a difference in a child’s life? If you can provide a temporary, safe and nurturing home for children in crisis, the Department of Human Services wants to talk with you. Resource parents provide a temporary, safe and nurturing home for children in crisis and assist in the development of permanency plans for the children. Single individuals as well as married couples can become resource parents. The greatest need is for resource parents for teenagers, sibling groups and youth in therapeutic placement. This information session is designed to introduce you to the Resource Parent Program and help you decide if you would like to become a resource parent. Pre-registration is required.
