The City Treasurer, John T. Atkinson, is committed to the secure acceptance of electronic payments for the City of Virginia Beach. Payments can be made using the City’s free eCheck service or by credit card using Official Payments Corporation (convenience fee applies). eCheck may be used to pay your combined water/storm water statement while Official Payments Corporation allows you to use your credit card for the combined water/storm water statement, current personal property and real estate taxes, and parking tickets.

Make Online Payments by Credit Card:
Click the corresponding link below to pay your combined water/storm water bill, current personal property and real estate taxes, and parking tickets using any major credit card. Payments are processed through our partner Official Payments Corporation (OPC). There is a fee charged by OPC; the City does not receive any portion of this fee. Before completing your transaction, you will be given the amount of the fee, the total of the transaction and a confirmation number. Please keep your confirmation number. If you prefer to pay by telephone using your credit card, you may do so by calling 1-866-515-8162 for Personal Property, Real Estate and Parking Tickets and 1-800-874-3384 for your Water/Storm Water combined statement (the OPC convenience fee still applies).

For your convenience, OPC has provided the following information regarding their fees:

Personal property and real estate taxes have a convenience fee of 3% with a $1.00 minimum. The combined water/storm water bills and parking tickets have a flat fee of $4.95 per transaction. The City does not receive any portion of this fee.
