  1. How to Search
Virginia Beach eMapping provides you with three ways to search for a parcel properties or street segments (block segment). You can search the parcel property by using street address [1] or by GPIN [2]. You can also search a street segment [3] by typing the street segment name. The database will show the top 100 records which match your search criteria. Then you can select each individual record to get more details or view the interactive maps.

If your search returns too many records and you have difficulty finding what you are searching for, you can try to enter more specific information to limit the results returned.

      Search Hints
Search by Property Address When entering property address, DO NOT enter the suffix for the street. For example, when searching for 1201 Baker Rd., only enter 1201 Baker.
Search by GPIN When searching by GPIN, you must enter at least 6 digits, and DO NOT enter any spaces, dashes etc. The full GPIN is a 14-digits number which is unique for each land property. Each land property parcel has a unique GPIN number. So if you know the GPIN of the property you are interested in, GPIN search will get the quickest and most accurate result.
    Search by Street Segment

When searching by Street Segment, DO NOT enter the street type and the segment range for the street. For example, when searching for Princess Anne Rd 1500-1599, only enter Princess Anne.
The street segment search can also help you find a land property. If you are not sure the GPIN number or the street address are correct, you may search the street segment and then visually check the property address.

  2. Simple Search or Advanced Search
The simple and advanced searches both search the same database. The advanced search results include a link to the advanced maps which require a plug-in download before you can view the maps.
