(1) Search / Legend / Help Menu
OptionsDescription
Search menu: Click the Search button to go to the property search page. You can search land parcel property by using GPIN or property address. You can also search street segment by using street segment name.
Legend: Click theLegend button to go to the legend page. A map legend contains information necessary to display a map feature (layer) using different symbolization schemes.
Help Menu: Click the Help button to go to help page. The help page will help you understand all the tools, buttons, map legends, etc.

(2) Map Room / Home Menu
OptionsDescription
Map Room: Click the Map Room button to go to the City Map Room page. The City Map Room is the place to find a listing of some of the most important places in the city; maps for Schools, Libraries, Fire Stations, and more can be viewed here quickly and easily without having to perform a search.
Home: Click the Home button to go to Virginia Beach eMapping homepage.

(3) Map Size / Print Menu
OptionsDescription
Small Map: Click the Small Map button to change the image size to 400 pixel * 280 pixel. Best viewed for the client computer with 800*600 screen or smaller.
Large Map: Click the Large Map button to change image size to 600 pixel * 400 pixel. Best viewed for the client computer with 1078*864 screen or bigger.
Print Map: Click the Print Map button to print maps.

(4) Panning Controls
OptionsDescription
Click on the Panning Controls (red arrows) at the edges of the maps to move the map view in different directions.

Click the "N" to see the northern section of the map, the "S" to see the southern section of the map, click "NW" to see the northwest, etc.

(5) Map Options
OptionsFunctions
Zoom In
Select Zoom In then click your mouse on a map to zoom in and center on the area you've clicked.
Zoom Out
Select Zoom Out then click your mouse on a map to zoom out and center on the area you've clicked.
Recenter
Select Recenter then click your mouse on a map to recenter on the area you've clicked without zooming the map.
Identify
Select Identify then click your mouse on a map to find out information such as address, real estate assessments, and geospatial information about the area on the map that you've clicked.
Select type of map to view
Use this option to select the Basic Map, Flood Map, or Aicuz Map to view different types of information.

L5 Parcel Level ~2,400 ft across 1 inch = 200 ft
L6 Plan Level ~1,200 ft across 1 inch = 100 ft
L7 Detail Level ~240 ft across 1 inch = 50 ft
