The Department of Planning and Community Development supports the land use planning and development process, and guides and manages the future physical growth of the city. They work with various city agencies to include the Department of Economic Development and the Strategic Growth Area Office to ensure the orderly use and reuse of land, and to focus upon strategic planning of the city’s infrastructure to assist in maintaining and enhancing the economic and aesthetic viability of the city.
