Get your fall vegetables at local farms and Farmers Market.  Please support our local farmers.  If you like fresh and local pumpkins, cut Christmas trees, sweet potatoes, collard greens and much more visit one or more of the local farms. 

Despite the weather,The Harvest Fair, which was hosted on Saturday, October 18, was a huge success with over 6,000 residents coming out to enjoy the fun.We would like to extend a special thank you to our staff, 4-H team, and volunteers.  Our new Director, David Trimmer, was even on hand to experience the fun. This is a huge event and we couldn't do it without your help. 

The Virginia Dare Soil & Water District educated 685 1st graders, parents, and teachers on Thursday and Friday, October 16th  and 17th.  What a educational and fun fill experience for all those who showed up.  A job very well done.
