We offer drop-in group fitness classes, registered classes and personal training through our Fitness Unit.
Drop-In Group Fitness
are group fitness classes held in
our recreation centers that do not require advanced registration. Each center has a monthly group fitness schedule that lists the class offerings. Classes are available on a first come, first served basis. Drop-in classes do require a recreation center membership card (or day pass) and a group fitness pass. You can purchase a punch card to pay for these classes (2-4 punches per class) or you can pay for each class individually.
Examples of these classes include, but are not limited to; Turbo-Kick®, SilverSneakers®, Zumba®, Hi-Low Cardio, Yoga, Pilates, Core Balance, Step and more.
These classes include, but are not limited to; boot camps, dance classes, Drums Alive®, kettlebells, personal training, martial arts, TRX®
We also offer personal training
in our recreation
centers. Sessions are 60 minutes in length and are scheduled at the convenience of the member and trainer. You can also sign up for training with a partner or small group as an economical alternative to individual training.
"I try to attend classes three times a week and what keeps me coming back are the skilled instructors. Their enthusiasm and sense of humor are contagious, their teaching styles are engaging and motivating, and their constant attention to the class ensures that everyone can maximize their workout. I leave each class with a sense of accomplishment and a smile!"
"Because of Bayside [Recreation Center], I have become a new woman. I have more energy at work; I am dedicated to working out more to maintain my new look, and feel absolutely amazing. I would encourage everyone that is not happy with the way their body looks to sign up for these classes and stick to it. You and your team are amazing."
